College of Charleston students may check out up to three DVDs and/or VHS tapes from the Student Government Association (SGA) Collection as well as from the Media Collection. Both collections are located on the 1st floor of the library around the periphery of the the Circulation/Reserve desk. The checkout period is for three days, and the overdue fine for students is $3.00 per day per title.
Students may also check out DVDs and VHS tapes from the Teaching Collection, located behind the Circulation/Reserve desk. The checkout period for these items is 4 hours only and they must be viewed within the library on library computers and DVD/VHS players or on personal laptops. Students must bring their own listening devices, as the library does not provide these.
The Circulation/Reserve desk also houses DVDs and VHS tapes on course reserves under the names of various professors. The checkout time for these items vary by professor.
