College Libraries provides access to the New York Times Online. College of Charleston students, faculty and staff must register for an Academic Pass using the New York Times Online link provided on the library databases page.

Register for your NYTimes Online Pass:

  • On the NYT in Education page, search for and select "College of Charleston" from the list.
  • Click "Create Account" and complete the registration using your CofC email address, or sign into an existing account if you have previously registered for a NYTimes.com account using your CofC email address.
  • Finally, verify your accounts through the confirmation email sent by The New York Times. Check your junk mail folder if you do not receive the confirmation email.

Once registered and verified, College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff can access The New York Times Online (NYTimes.com), including the archives (dating back to 1851), podcasts, newsletters, videos and more. Faculty and staff will need to re-verify their account annually.

You can also use this College-provided Academic Pass to access content on NYT mobile apps.
