The library doesn't buy copies of all course textbooks, but sometimes you can find your textbook at the library if:

  • there is a copy of a particular textbook in the library's collection.

  • your professor put a copy of the textbook in Course Reserves at the Circulation Desk.

To find out if your textbook is in the library collection or on reserve, search for the textbook's title in the library's catalog.

Make sure you know which edition of the textbook you need.

Also, because different textbooks can sometimes have the same or very similar titles, make sure you know the names of the book's authors or editors to ensure that what you find in the library is exactly the textbook your course requires.

If you do not find your textbook, consider asking your professor if he or she could place a copy on reserve at Circulation.
