Yes, students can use the Respondus LockDown Browser on the desktop Windows PCs in Addlestone Library. (This software is not available on the iMacs in the library.) When CofC students take an exam in OAKS, they may be prompted to launch or download the Respondus LockDown Browser. This software in already installed on the desktop Windows PCs in Addlestone Library. Therefore, it is important for students to select "launch" rather than "download" when using one of these machines. In addition, the desktop Windows PCs in Addlestone Library are equipped with webcams which some exams may require. The webcams on these computers have a privacy shield, so students may have to move the slider to expose the camera. If an exam requires sound, students must provide their own wired headphones. If you have any issues using the browser, please contact the IT Service Desk at https://help.cofc.edu/. Please see the links below for step by step instructions.
