Library users can place books on hold behind the Circulation Desk for up to five (5) days.

For a book that listed in the library catalog as not currently available in the book stacks, the library user can click the "request item" button found on the book's catalog record and fill out a hold form online through his/her My Library account. When the book is returned and checked in, the book is placed on the hold shelf and an email is automatically sent to the you to inform you that the book being held for you.

Items are placed on hold on a first come first serve basis, therefore, if the requested book is already on hold, the requesting student's name would be added to the hold list.  When the book has been checked in and is available to be checked out to the next person on the hold list, the computer system automatically sends an email notifying the student that the book is available and ready for pick-up.
